At GenFed Financial Credit Union, we’ve always believed in helping our members and community grow and prosper. One of the ways we do that is through our annual scholarship program.
Scholarship
GenFed awards two $1,000 scholarships each year to GenFed members who exhibit dedication to service and hard work. These scholarships honor three men who contributed immensely to the foundation and success of GenFed.
To apply for our Carroll, Prather, Young scholarships, you must be a GenFed Financial member (or dependent child of a member) and enrolled in a higher form of education for the next year, including college, trade school, or university.
Applicants will submit a written response to an essay question. Responses will be judged on originality, attention to detail and organization.
2025 scholarship applications are now being accepted online. Apply here. Applications due March 14, 2025.
Credit Union members may apply for one of three video-based scholarships in 2020 through the Ohio Credit Union Foundation by creating an interactive 1 to 2 1/2-minute video answering the scholarship question. The first-place winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship, second-place a $2,500 scholarship and third place a $1,000 scholarship.
To apply for the Ohio Credit Union Foundation video scholarships you must be a member in good standing that currently attends or has been accepted to attend an accredited college or university, in pursuit of an undergraduate degree.
Watch for the Ohio Credit Union Foundation application information coming soon.
